Paper Bridge Test

In one invented classroom test, students compared a flat paper bridge with an accordion-folded bridge. They used sheets of the same size and paper type. Each sheet rested across the same gap between two books. Students added identical blocks one at a time until each bridge could not support another block. The flat bridge supported one block; the folded bridge supported four. The class recorded only one trial of each design. They wrote a conclusion about this test and planned to repeat it before making a broader claim.
