Plant Parts and Functions Worksheets for Grade 1
Connect plant structures to their jobs using a model, guided questions, independent practice and an application task. These Grade 1 resources support speaking and drawing as well as writing.
Where to start
Start with Learn Together to name the parts using the supplied model. Choose Practice Independently when the child can explain at least one function; use Complete Lesson when a full sequence fits the lesson.
A common mistake
A plant part is not named by its position alone: connect each label to what that part helps the plant do. Roots take in water; leaves and stems have different jobs.
What to try next
Ask the learner to explain a pretend plant problem using a part and its function. Return to the picture model if the explanation relies only on guessing.
Practice in learning order
Select the resource that matches the learner’s current skill. Grade labels are guides; the activity and prerequisite skills matter more than completing every sheet.
