Teaching and response guide

  1. Begin with: A right angle has parts 35 degrees and x. Find x.
  2. Connect the response to: Is a 70-degree angle acute, right or obtuse?
  3. Ask students to apply the idea: How many degrees are in one full turn?

Watch for: Accepting an answer without checking whether it uses the material and satisfies the requested relationship or criteria.

Check the answer criteria for each task. A supported explanation may have more than one acceptable response. These activities offer evidence to discuss; completing a sheet alone does not establish mastery.
